Helen Gebregiorgis is an Eritrean–American filmmaker and photographer whose work explores identity, migration, across Africa and its global diaspora. She has documented stories in Eritrea, Egypt, Kenya, and Nigeria, focusing on human connection and the power of stories.
Her photography has been exhibited internationally, including in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, United Kingdom, and the United States. Helen holds an MA in Media and International Development from the University of East Anglia and a BA in Film and Video from Columbia College Chicago. She is currently based in Washington, DC.
